Residence, curate and lecturer: Mr Penneck the Rector, who resides at Ludgvan near Penzance Cornwall - has desir'd me to acquaint your Lordship that he has given the Reason of his non-Residence in his Answers to the Queries for Ludvan. - I am the Resident Curate, licenced and with a Salary of £50 per year.
There is no Lecturer in the Parish.
Other benefices: Mr Penneck has no Benefice but Cheriton Fitzpayn.
Frequency of divine service: Divine Service is performd twice every Lord's Day with a Sermon both in Morning & Evening.
Frequency of communion: The Sacraments of the Lord's Supper is administerd twelve Times in the year. The number of Communicants at the Festivals are about sixty - but the monthly Sacrament about thirty.
Catechising of children: The Youth are catechized in Lent & sometimes between Easter & Whitsuntide.
Church fabric: The Church & Chancel are in good Repair. The Churchyard well kept - & all Things decent for Divine Service.
Glebe terrier: There is a Terrier of the Glebe Lands &c but it is in the Possession of the Executors in Trust of Mr Harris, late Rector of this Parish.
School, alms-houses, hospital and charitable endowments: There are two Schools in the Parish for teaching Reading & Writing. There is an Alms-House for six Widows, who have each a Shilling per Week issuing from the Rent of a House call'd the Red Lyon in Exeter. {There is likewise and Estate in the Parish, £26 per year call'd Furze, the Rent of which is duly distributed.} No Hospital or parochial Library.
Charity: There is an Estate call'd Furz in the Parish, of £26 per year, the Rent of which is duly distributed among the Poor.
